Daily Panchangam · Drik astronomical reference

Begin with the sacred day.
Then confirm what is right for your family.

Choose an East Coast location and date to calculate the five limbs of the Panchangam, sunrise and sunset, and common daily timing windows. This is an astronomical reference tool — not a personal Muhurtham ruling.

Important distinctionAutomated Panchangam data can narrow the field. A wedding, Griha Pravesham, Upanayanam or other important ceremony still requires personal Muhurtham confirmation when tradition calls for it.How personal Muhurtham works →

Select a date and location above. If the astronomical runtime is temporarily unavailable, the rest of this page remains usable and you can contact Shastryji for personal timing guidance.

What’s ahead

Recurring sacred observances.

These are calculated as preliminary recurring-observance candidates from the daily tithi at sunrise. Exact vrata or festival observance can depend on sunrise, moonrise, midday or sampradaya-specific rules.

ReferenceRecurring observancesCalculated candidates appear here when the Panchangam engine is available.

For named festivals and family-specific observances, confirm the applicable tradition. A future production calendar can add Venugopal Shastry-reviewed festival rules as a separate curated layer.

Transparent methodology

How these values are calculated

The engine uses astronomical Sun/Moon positions and rise/set calculations, then derives Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana in a Lahiri/Chitrapaksha sidereal frame. Daily kalam periods are derived from the local sunrise-to-sunset interval.
